Free local visibility audit · five a month

Find out why the other guy gets the call.

A real person reviews your website, your Google Business Profile and the three Canterbury businesses outranking you. Three working days later you get a one-page scorecard and the three fixes that would move the needle first.

No access to your accounts. No 40-page PDF. No sales call required to get the report.

1Page. Not a deck.

The straight version.

What this is

A diagnosis from the person who would do the work. If your site is fine and your offer is the problem, I’ll say that. If the fix is a $400 job, I’ll say that too.

It’s the same review I do before quoting anyone. You’re getting it for free because one in five turns into a partner, and that pays for the other four.

What this isn’t

A 40-page PDF a tool spat out. A “free audit” that turns into a 45-minute pitch. A reason to tell you that you need a $15,000 rebuild before I’ve looked at anything.

No logins, no lock-in, and nothing to sign. If the report isn’t useful, you’ve lost ten minutes.

Six things we check.

Most “free audits” are a screenshot of a paid tool. These are the six that actually decide whether you get the call.

1

The Map Pack, from a Christchurch street

Where you really appear for your three money searches — not an average from a rank tracker that’s never stood in Riccarton. Mobile and desktop, because three in four local searches happen on a phone.

2

Your Google Business Profile, line by line

Categories, services, photos, posts, review velocity, unanswered questions. Then a side-by-side with the three businesses above you, and what they have that you don’t.

3

The pages you haven’t built

Most Canterbury operators have one Services page trying to rank for forty suburbs. We map the service-and-suburb pages you’re missing, and flag the thin ones dragging the rest down.

4

The technical floor

Schema, titles, internal links, mobile speed, crawl errors. Unglamorous — and the reason some sites never move, no matter how much content gets published.

5

Whether AI can even name you

Ask ChatGPT or Google’s AI Overview for “the best plumber in Rolleston” and see who gets mentioned. For most local businesses it isn’t them. We check what’s feeding that answer, and what’s missing.

6

Whether you can prove where the work came from

When the phone rings, do you know if it was Google, the flyer, the ute, or the neighbour? If the answer is “no idea”, that’s usually the most expensive line in the report.

One page. Not forty.

Written so you can act on it with or without me.

  • A score out of 100, split across Map Pack, profile, content, technical and tracking — so you can see which one is holding the other four back.
  • The three fixes, in order, with why each one matters, roughly what it costs in time and money, and what to do first if you only do one.
  • The three businesses outranking you, and the specific thing each one is doing that you aren’t.
  • A one-line verdict — “fix the profile”, “rebuild the location pages”, or “your site is fine, your offer isn’t”.
  • No 60-slide deck. No stock photography. No “synergy”.

Sample report. A Christchurch plumber — details changed, numbers aren’t.

What it looks like when it’s done.

One page, three findings, one verdict.

Plumber · Christchurch

14 years trading, 62 reviews, still on page two.

Verdict: the website was never the problem — the profile and the phone were. Three changes, three weeks, and the Map Pack followed.

Anonymised. Details changed, pattern isn’t.

Three steps. About ten minutes of your time.

The rest is mine.

1

You send the details — two minutes

Your site, your Google listing, and the three searches your customers actually type. That’s it.

2

I run the audit — three working days

Manual review plus tools. I look at you the way Google does, then the way a customer does, then the way your competitor’s marketing manager would.

3

You get the report — and a call, if you want one

A one-page scorecard and three fixes. If you want to talk it through, there’s a 15-minute call. If you’d rather take the report and run, that’s a fine outcome too.

Read this before you apply.

The audit is free. My time isn’t unlimited, so I’m picky about where the five go.

For you if…

  • You’ve been trading three years or more, and your reputation is better than your rankings.
  • You’re spending on ads, print or signage and can’t tell which one is working.
  • You’ve got 20+ Google reviews and you’re still not in the top three.
  • You’ll act on the findings inside 90 days.

Not for you if…

  • You want a free report to hand to your current agency.
  • You’re shopping for the cheapest quote in Christchurch.
  • You haven’t got a website yet.
  • You want someone to “just do the SEO” without telling you what’s broken.

If that reads like you, the form’s below. If it doesn’t, no hard feelings — the FAQ probably answers the rest.

Straight answers.

Is it actually free, or free until the phone call?

The audit is free. The report is yours whether we ever speak again. If we do speak, it’s a 15-minute call about the findings — not a pitch deck. If there’s a fit, I’ll quote it at a fixed price. If there isn’t, I’ll tell you that too.

Do I need to give you access to my website or Google account?

No. Everything is done from the outside, the same way a customer or Google sees you. You keep your logins.

How long does it take?

Three working days from when you send the form. Most come back inside 48 hours. Your side is about two minutes.

I’m not in Christchurch. Can I still get one?

Yes, if you’re in Canterbury or selling to Canterbury. Outside the South Island the local competitor picture gets thin, and I’ll tell you before I start rather than pad a report.

What do you do with my details?

One report, one follow-up email, nothing else. No list, no newsletter, no passing it to a “partner”. See the privacy policy.

What happens after I get the report?

You fix what you can yourself — it’s written so a capable person can. If you’d rather hand it over, I quote the work at a fixed price. If you don’t, the report still belongs to you.

Why only five a month?

Because I do them myself, and I only take on two new partners a month. Five audits fills that pipeline. When the month’s slots are gone, the form closes.

What if you can’t find three things worth fixing?

Then I’ll say so, close your file, and tell you to spend the money elsewhere.

Send your details. I’ll take it from there.

Two minutes now. Three working days to a report you can act on.

Got it — your audit is in the queue.

Expect the report within three working days from [email protected]. If it hasn’t landed by then, check spam, then ring me on 022 101 4024.

* Required. No access to your accounts. No obligation.

No access to your accounts. No obligation. Your details stay with me.

The report costs nothing. Staying invisible does.

Every month you’re off the Map Pack, someone else is answering that call.
